Telekinesis: The innate ability to create a link with an object or person, and move it without physically touching it. They are more or less the people who can look at something and make it do what they want, without lifting a finger. The stronger they are, the bigger, heavier, more difficult things are less of a problem for them.
Sub-skills: Psychokinesis, Levitation, Forcefield.
Power vs Control
Telekinesis is often placed into the misconception of 'moving things with one's mind'. In truth, it goes deeper than that: A telekinetic is a person who can create a 'Link' with an object or person, and then control it as if it were an extension of their own body. This is an incredible gift, and those who have a great power in it find they are capable of lifting and holding rather heavy things. The strongest recorded Telekinetic was apparently able to link with an entire building and cause it to lift itself from its foundation.
vs
Power unchecked, however, is dangerous. A Telekinetic with little control often is mistaken for a clumsy person. Things typically fall on their own when they are near - shelves collapse, things smash or break. Control is what allows a telekinetic to move objects willingly and with greater precision. A Telekinetic with impressive control could use a computer by thought alone, whereas someone with little control would find it hard to operate things as simple as hinges without causing damage to everything around it. Greater control allows a telekinetic to establish more Links than someone with less.
