known limits;; Alison received and injury to her spine in an accident as a baby before her power had manifested itself. It was a miracle that she had not been paralysed as most doctors thought she would be based on the amount of scar tissue that she now had. However, despite that lucky break, she later learnt that as a result of the scar tissue that she can't exert a large amount of her power for extended periods of time (i.e. more than 6 hours) without experiencing excruciating pain and in extreme cases she runs the risk of her body becoming unresponsive. It is for that reason that she has always focused more on the control of her power so that she could use less power to do the same feats as any other Strength. Few people know of this limit.
power history;;Alison was a happy child in all accounts. She had loving parents, a good home and a not only a sister but a twin sister who she absolutely adored. Even though the two were twins, they were not exactly alike; in fact they differed from each other to the point that they were almost completely opposite in everything but appearance, mirror images of the other. Where Isabella was outgoing, Alison was shy. Isabella was outspoken where Alison was shy. Alison's stubbornness was matched only by her sister's flexibility and so the list goes on. However, despite it all the two were exceedingly close as sisters should be. It was at the age of four that what would forever be the biggest difference between the two presented itself.
The two sisters were outside playing in the snow that had accumulated in the garden of their home under the watchful of eye of their father as he put the finishing touches on their now finished snowman. Their birthday was approaching, so the two were completely filled with glee and anticipation. Having a mini snowball fight, the two were laughing and rolling around in the snow. Ali was determined to win so when Is had her backed turned she quickly made and threw a snowball at her sister however the missile never hit its mark. The young girls eyes widened as she watched the snowball slow and then stop in midair before it could reach her sister who had turned to face it, then suddenly, seemingly if its own accord, the snowball hurtled back in the way in which it had come and hit Alison squarely in her face. The young girl looked at her sister confused and shocked from where she sat on the floor as her dad ran over to Izzie and happily lifted her into his arms and started spinning her around in the air. And for that event the truth of their family was revealed.
What Iz had done, Ali soon learned, was because of a unique ability that she had inherited from their father. An ability called Telekinesis; an ability that indicated that like their father, Isabella was also a part of a special group of humans known as Breeds. Their mother was human but their father was a Breed and the gene that made him what he was had passed onto Isabella.
For a while, Alison was jealous. Why hadn't she got special powers too? Why did her sister have to be the special one? Her jealousy was only compounded by the fact that from that her father started giving Isabella preferential treatment, spending more time with her and ignoring Alison. Their mother saw what was happening and tried to console her but it didn't work. The fact was that her father only had love for one of his daughters now.
Their birthday came and went. Winter ended, spring began and soon they were entering into summer. Throughout that time Alison became estranged from her father, growing to resent him with every fibre of her being. She was no longer jealous and had accepted that she was normal but that didn't take away the hurt her father caused by making it painfully clear that he only cared for Isabelle. The sisters remained close but the bond wasn't as strong for often Isabella was whisked away by their father and Alison was left behind. In a way, despite the fact that they lived in the same house, even sharing a room, the twins had begun to grow upapart.
Any five-year-old child would not be able to suffer what Alison was being put through silently forever especially when they couldn't fully understand why. Therefore it was no surprise when she finally snapped and threw a tantrum. Her father had been on the phone in his study with one of his business colleagues who was also a family friend and Alison accidentally overheard the ending of the conversation while she was hunting around the house for one of her toys. The phone was on speaker mode so she heard when the man on the underline inquired after her dad's family, asking how they were doing. She listened as his father talked of Isabella, praising her to the skies. He had nothing bad to say about Iz but when the man asked about her it was different case. She heard her father say in a lowered voice that she was a disappointment and disgrace. That in all honesty he would have been happy with just Isabella and that she, Alison, was just another mouth to feed that took up space. He even said that they would be better off without her.
Young as she was, Alison could still understand what her father meant and it hurt. However, her hurt soon turned to anger. The girl entered the room completely and with tears streaming down her face began to storm and rage and scream. At first, it seemed like just a normal tantrum and after quickly ending the call her father began to walk over to her with an angry look on his face. He stopped when suddenly her stamps could be heard throughout the entire two-storey house before suddenly her foot cracked the tiles under her feet and then the concrete beneath. The Breed gene had not skipped her after all.
When the combined efforts of her mother and her sister, who had come to investigate the source of the commotion, finally calmed her down, the girl looked around at what she had done in wonder. From where she stood, a huge crack ran through the floor and then continued up the wall. Tiles had been uprooted and they were a couple smashed picture frames on the floor that had fallen off the wall. In addition to her shock, Alison was pleased; she thought that maybe now her father would accept her. She was wrong.
Ali soon realised that her father didn't care that she was a Breed; he cared that she wasn't a Breed like him, that she didn't have a mental ability like him. Realising that nothing she did would ever win back her father's love and that he probably never really did love her in the first place, Alison stopped thinking of him as her father. As far as she was concerned, she had no father.

Alison is a clever, quick - thinking resourceful young woman. She is self - sufficient and independent. In some ways people see her as a loner but this is only because she counts very few people as true friends. Everything she is, good and bad, she has had to be with a father who could as well have had been a random stranger on the street.
She is a loyal friend and confidant but it takes some work for her to trusts you as she does not easily let people in. Also, if you ever lose her trust, do not expect to ever get it back; once you're out, you're out. This woman isn't someone that you would want to be on the bad side of because she does have a temper and has occasionally acted before thinking.
Overall Alison is a good person but she isn't perfect and does have faults. Instead of being a victim of her circumstances she has risen above them to make herself a better and stronger person because of them. However she does have scars and issues as a result of her past.

James Cielo was raised knowing what he was. Everyone in his immediate family was a Breed and they all had mental abilities. His father, Carlisle Cielo, was the strongest and most practiced with the ability and so he took on the responsibility of teaching and training all the others. It was no secret that Carlisle had a great dislike for any Breed with non mental abilities, though nobody knew the exact reason behind his disdain. He believed that having a mental ability made them superior not only to normal humans but to all other Breed types and he passed on his belief to James who never questioned it and developed the same hatred of all other Breeds.
Melissa Cielo, previously Melissa Carter, was a normal human. She came from a normal family and normal home. She would never have believed that things such as Breeds could exist; at least not until that fateful summer. Melissa had always has a love of science, biology to be exact and in college she decided to specialise in genetic engineering. The young girl had applied for a summer internship at a government lab to get the laboratory hours she needed to complete her degree. Melissa showed such an aptitude for the science that by the end of the summer she was offered a permanent position in the lab. Thrilled, she accepted not knowing that a secret that had been hidden for decades would soon be entrusted to her; not knowing that her life would be affected in ways that she never thought possible.
The way that James and Melissa met was anything but conventional. The government was still in the process of trying to round up all the Breeds, a process that had been going on for close to a century. Melissa was still relatively new so she wasn't interacting with the 'patients' just working on the samples collected but a twist of fate brought her and James together. Her department head was killed in a car accident and they were in desperate need of a replacement, since Mel was the most qualified she got the job. A new breed had been captured, a telekinetic to be exact. Since he displayed the most aptitude for telekinesis he was made a top priority and she was quickly assigned to him.
At first, it was just interviews and James proved to be an intelligent, charismatic person and she actually enjoyed their conversations. Actually she found herself interacting with him more that was necessary. He was becoming like a friend and confidante but that 2 month period was soon over and it was time for the tests. It hurt her to watch him go through the pain of the examinations. She hated watching him grow into the shadow of the young man that had first been brought through her doors. When it came time for him to be transferred is when she first realised. Perhaps it was his good looks. Perhaps it was because he was her age. Perhaps it was because he seemed so sweet. Perhaps it was because she had never directly interacted with the Breeds. Perhaps he had found a way around the suppression drugs and was using his powers on her. Perhaps it was fate. Who knows the real reason but somehow Melissa had fallen in love with him.
The time came for him to be transferred to another facility where more in depth experiments could be run on him. Melissa couldn't bear the thought especially since she knew that many of the Breeds transferred there soon died. Never before had she really thought about what she was a part of and she was disgusted with herself. Melissa fudged the transport paperwork and sent a letter to the overseas facility saying that he had a reaction to one of the chemicals and had died. That night she snuck him out of the facility and nursed him back to health, night and day, in the following weeks until he was well enough to leave the state and travel back to his hometown, Aspen.
The kindness she had shown him touched his heart and as a result he got over his prejudice to non Breeds. Six months later they were married on warm spring day in March and by the following summer Melissa gave birth to two beautiful twin girls. James was overjoyed, sure that since Melissa was not a breed that both his girls would have the gift of telekinesis. However, life rarely turns out the way we want it to.
Though James may have gotten past the prejudice against non breeds. The belief of superiority over all other Breed types had not faded and five years after his daughters' birth it was given the chance to resurface. He was both dismayed and ashamed when he discovered that one of his daughters was what he considered to be an inferior breed type and he basically disowned young Alison for something she never had a say in.
Hurt and feeling betrayed the girl locked away her pain. In her mind, she had no father. So for years the two lived in the house as if they were strangers. Her hatred of her father went to the extent that after her mother's death, Alison legally changed her last name to her mother's maiden name, Carter. Her mother was no longer there to try and forge reconciliation so she cut all ties with him.
Alison eventually went into the Genetic Engineering field like her mother before her and history seemed to repeat itself as the government recruited her. However, unlike her mother she was not there simply to study and research; she wanted to help and it was there that she met him.
Reid Sullivan was the head of the division in which she was placed; the highest ranking Breed. Times had changed and Breeds were now included in the process not just as lab rats though to the general public their existence was kept under wraps. In many ways, Reid was her mentor but as they worked together he soon became more. The feelings they both had were finally given the chance to flourish when they were sent as part of a research team to St. Louis. On their last night there as they relaxed and enjoyed a quiet dinner together, their feelings were revealed. For the seven months following they had a wonderful, thriving relationship as they worked side by side recruiting young Breeds to the Academy. Alison was in love and was almost positive that what they had could last forever. Her hopes for a future together were dashed when she introduced him to the only family she had, her twin sister.
At first, Alison convinced herself that she was just being paranoid and imagining things but the night that she caught the two of them locked in a passionate embrace it became painfully clear that her suspicions were true. Over the course of the two months after Alison introduced Reid to Isabelle, Reid had fallen out of love with Alison, if he ever truly did love her, and instead had fallen in love with her twin. This revelation hurt Alison to the core and for two months following she refused to have anything to do with her. However, Is was just as stubborn as Alison and relentlessly pursued Ali until she forgave her. Alison was Isabelle's maid of honour at the wedding.
For a while everything seemed to finally be going okay until tragedy struck again. Isabelle's pregnancy had been a complicated one but it never seemed life threatening but pregnancy is a tricky thing and you can never be one hundred percent certain about what will happen next. The baby's power spiked when it was born and obliterated everything and everyone in the room, only one doctor escaped with his life. Alison had been overseas at the time and returned to find her sister dead, Reid a broken shell of the man he had been and her baby niece.
It started out as Alison just trying to help him through the difficult time, being a shoulder to lean on but in so doing she realised that she never stopped loving him. However, despite everything, she loved her sister enough, even in death, not to act on those feelings. Also she knew deep down that Reid would never be able to have the love for her that he had for Isabelle and so the years past.
Five years after Isabella's death both Ali and Reid were assigned to a brand new project, Sententia Academy and so with young Isabelle in tow they relocated to St. Louis. It seemed ironic to Ali that they were returning to the same place in which they first started their short romance. One day when she stopped over to check on the two and try once again to get Isabelle to connect with her; the girl hated her, Alison got a surprise. Reid was waiting for her; usually he was in his lab when she visited. He apologised for how he had been acting towards her and how insensitive he had been too her feelings since her sister died and invited her to stay for a drink. Two bottles of wine later the two found themselves in bed together.
At first, Alison was appalled but the feelings that she had long harboured for Reid quickly overruled her objections. She believed that Reid felt the same way and so right before the wine lulled her to sleep she pledged her love for him. From that day on, it became a regular thing for Alison to stop over for a "visit" even after the academy opened and even though like him she maintains a professional air in public, she is even more in love with him than ever.

Lena had sped through her chores today so that she could get out of the house that much sooner. She was meeting Chace in the park this evening as had become the usual for them on bright, sunny Saturdays like this one. They would sometimes just go for a walk and talk or share an ice-cream cone or even just sit together silently; wanting the other's company and nothing more as they watched the blue sky slowly become filled with streaks of blazing oranges and reds mixed with bright yellows and the palest of pinks as the sun set the beneath the horizon. The day was even more special for today was their anniversary. She couldn't help put smile at the thought that they had made it through another year. But despite the normalcy and beauty of this day, Lena's heart fluttered nervously, like the wings of a humming bird, as she let the cool water from the quick shower she was taking run through her long chocolate brown mane and down the her back.
'Maybe today' she thought as she slowly turned off the water and grabbed her towel to wrap around her as she stepped out of the bath, 'Hopefully todayI can finally let him know.'
It wasn't the first time in the last two weeks that she had thought that maybe she would be able to tell Chace the truth. So many times she had decided that she definitely would but changed her mind at the last minute. She hoped that today would be different, an anniversary was a milestone in any relationship and she hoped to see many more with him but that couldn't happen if their relationship was built on lies. Also, all the lying was starting to get to her. Helena was generally an honest person to her very core. She hardly ever lied about anything, perhaps because she never really did anything that would require her to lie. There was only one thing that she had persistently lied about. The very thing that was interwoven into the very fabric of her being she had had to lie about time and time again. Helena was a witch. Even more so Helena was a Halliwell witch, one of the three legendary Charmed Ones. She understood why it was necessary, how important it was to keep their true identities a secret. She knew of the danger that was forever lurking in the shadows; watching and waiting for the chance to strike. But, she also knew that she was deeply, strongly and irrevocably in love.
Despite the way she had buzzed around the house all morning so that she could complete all of her chores early and leave the house; now in her room the young girl moved slowly while she went over and over again the scenarios of what could happen this evening. This evening could change everything; not just for her but for her entire family. Lena sighed at this thought; if the outcome could just affect her, her and no-one else this wouldn't be so hard. Her parents had worked so hard to protect her and her sisters and keep their secret and now she was risking ruining it all. She had spent months agonising over this. Wondering if she wasn't being selfish in risking it all because of what she wanted. But what was she supposed to do? Continue to rip herself apart by lying to the man she loved knowing that it would eventually drive him away. It would be wonderful if she could know for sure that what she was doing was either the right or wrong thing but despite all her power, this was one event that she could not see through and the future was just as hidden from her as it was to an innocent. This was evidently something that she had to go through blindly and hope desperately it would turn out right.
Once her hair was fully dried and brushed till it shone, she dressed in an almost daze as she thought of what she would say. Nothing seemed to fit exactly right. How on earth did you bring up the topic of being a supernatural being with great powers with anyone let alone the love of your life? She couldn't just wait till they had settled down and while they walked or sat suddenly blurt out: Hey honey, guess what? I'm one of the three most powerful witches of all time with powers and everything? That course of action would surely send him running for the hills.
Having run out of ways to lay wait time, Lena slipped on her favourite black flats and stared at herself in the floor length mirror in the corner of her room. Her shining hair hung down freely, framing her face perfectly with the ends naturally forming their own gentle curls. She was wearing a short, flared blue jeans skirt that made her long slim legs look that much more appealing. Next, was the off-the-shoulder pink baby tee that, somehow for reasons that she could not understand, helped to emphasize the unusual pale blue colour of her eyes. She had once been told that it was the contrast between the bright pink and pale blue that made the blue even more evident. A simple gold, heart-shaped locket adorned her neck matching back with the small heart shaped diamante stones of her earrings. Lena wasn't really into clothes all that much but she did always try to look nice especially when it was an important occasion and she did consider this evening to count in that category. With one last glance back, Lena turned to leave the house.
The walk to the park did not take long and Lena quickly made her way to 'their' bench as she watched as the park slowly emptied around her. It was right on that same bench that they had become a couple on an evening just like this one. The memory was as clear as if it was just yesterday. She could still remember the feeling when their lips met for the first time and she realised that she was in love. Lena looked up at the sky as she sat and saw that the very beginnings of the kaleidoscope of colour had already started. She closed her eyes as a light breeze blew through the park gently rustling the leaves of the ancient but strong trees. Familiar footsteps soon caused her to smile as she reopened her eyes and look around for the source. Her breath caught in her throat. There he was. Her resolve weakened. She didn't want to lose him. What if he didn't understand? With each of his footsteps another worry, fear or doubt that she had wrestled with and had believed that she had finally conquered, resurfaced.
He finally reached her and as she stood, he pulled her into his arms as she gazed into his beautiful eyes. She could get lost in those dark pools that mirrored her love for him as they focused on her.
'Is our love strong enough to withstand this?' she wondered as they shared a kiss. 'Isn't love supposed to be a risk?'
The kiss ended and she wondered if he saw the turmoil behind her eyes as she wrestled internally with herself as to whether or not to go through with her plan and risk it all.[/blockquote]
