power history;;Adele learned of her powers when she was only five years old when her mother tried to drown her. She burned the house down. Ever since she had to be watched very closely, her brother would never leave her side. Her mother survived but now hated her even more and her father was her only protection. Her mother died a year later, she got too close to the fireplace while Adele was angry. She was terrified of her powers for a very long time, and she had difficulty learning to control them. Every time an emotion like anger hit her she started things on fire.
When she was little her powers weren't very strong so she didn't have to worry about it. The only time she set things on fire was when she was in the 3rd grade and a boy was bullying her. She got so angry she set him on fire. The boy died. He had a lighter in his pocket so it was always though to have started him on fire. Only her brother and her father knew otherwise.
When this happened her father stopped acknowledging her existence. Her brother was now the only one she counted on. Even though he was only a few years older than her he had to provide for her. Get her meals and other basic needs. She never had a girl to go to for girl problems so she had to tell her brother. he was embarrassed but explained everything that was happening as best he could.
In her later years she learned how much of a hassle dating was. She couldn’t feel emotions like lust of she could start things on fire. She nearly killed her first boyfriend. Of course he ran off screaming like a girl. She never talked to him again, and he wouldn’t look at her. She was depressed for a very long times and balled in her room for weeks. Fortunately, sadness didn't start things on fire.
Her second boyfriend knew about her powers straight off and they took things very slowly. He dumped her on their six month anniversary, she was taking too long apparently. She got angry and nearly burned down the school when it happened. Luckily no one was killed but many students were put in the hospital. She stopped going to school after that. At least until she started at Sententia Academy.

Adele has a very round face and she describes herself as having a ‘pixie‘ look. She‘s always wanted to look like a fairy princess which is why she always keeps her hair short, (that and if it gets too long sometimes it catches on fire). She tends to incinerate her clothes so she is constantly buying new ones and is rarely seen in the same outfit twice.
Adele has an unusually pale complexion, probably because Rainier Washington has really sucky weather. She has never gotten a tan in her life, though she has gotten some pretty nasty sunburns. She has a small frame so she tends to make up for it by wearing extremely high and uncomfortable looking heels.BUBBLY. SHORT TEMPERED. UNSTABLE.

When you first see her Adele comes off as a weird bubbly sort of quirky girl. When you first meet her she has so many mood swings they can give you whiplash. This is because she doesn‘t want to hurt anyone that gets to close to her. When you get past the moody stage she comes off as cold hearted and extremely sarcastic with an obvious rude side. When you finally get into the cracks of her mask, she is back to the bubbly sort of quirky girl but she tends to still have some coldness towards you.
Adele doesn‘t like meeting new people, she only hurts them. She‘s come so close to killing everyone whose ever loved her, she flips out at the though of hurting someone else. The only one she can deal with is her brother. If one is stubborn enough to gain her friendship she can be a very loving person. She has and extremely strong protective streak when she cares about a person that tends to set her guy friends back. They tend to not want a female friend that tries to fight all their battles.
Adele has a haunted past and she hates talking about it. She‘ll only say a word about it after she knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that she can trust a person. Even then she doesn‘t tell anyone everything. She‘ll hit anyone who even mentions her mother. She doesn‘t talk to her father anymore and probably won‘t ever again. She‘s an environmentalist and a vegetarian. Eating meat makes her sick.
Adele can be somewhat flighty and has to be constantly reminded of things that are due and things she needs to get done and important dates. She drinks a lot of tea and never drinks anything hot with cold food or cold with hot food. She meditates often so that she can keep her strong emotions in check, she doesn't want anymore accidents.
If Adele skips any of her meditation sessions or bottles up emotions for too long, even if she has a nightmare and doesn't talk about it, it can end badly. Her brother is the only one she talks to about the problems she's having unless they are directly related to him. Sometimes, in those rare cases, she talks to a shrink about it or other times a complete stranger, just so she could get things off her chest. Because of her drawback, in every subject other than her past, she is a very open person.
Adele can be contradicting at times and she says things that can be taken multiple ways. When someone is stubborn enough to become her friend she tells them straight off the bat how dangerous it can be. Many people take that as an excuse to not hang out with them, they then drop her like a hot potato. She really only meant it as a warning, so they know to be careful. She wants friends she just doesn't want to hurt them.

When Adele was young her mother abused her. Tansy never wanted another child, but her husband was against abortion. Adele was born allergic to penicillin, they knew that from an early age. Her mother used that knowledge to her benefit. She would put it in her food when she cooked it. Adele quickly learned never to eat ANYTHING her mother gave her. Even though he was only two years older than her, Adonis knew he's have to take care of Adele when their father was gone because Tansy never did anything bad to her when he was around. Adele's father loved her very much.
When Adele started going to school, her mother stopped putting the medicine in her food, Tansy wouldn't risk being caught because Adele was out of school too much. Adele was happy for a while, her mom stopped trying to hurt her. Then it started again. At first, with little things, if she'd do something wrong she's get hit or spanked that was normal. Then her first report card came. It was good All A's and B's but it wasn't good enough for her mother. She was locked in the cellar, with only stale bread and water to eat. her teachers started asking questions and it stopped again.
Then, her mother tried to drown her in the bathtub. The whole house burned down, all because of little Adele. Her mom hated her even more then. She would hit her and wouldn't let her leave the house for anything other than school. Then when she turned six her mom went off on a rant. She had gotten into a fight with one of the boys at school because he was picking on her. Adele's emotions got the best of her and her mother got just a little too close to the fireplace. Tansy died that day.
After that, Adele's father stayed home much more often, and when he needed to leave he called a nanny, which was only once to twice a year. Adele was still getting picked on at school and nothing anyone did stopped that. Adele got fed up with it in third grade and confronted the boy. He said very nasty things to her and the boy died that day. Her father hated her for it. So when Adonis got his powers, her father stopped taking care of them completely. He hired a nanny and was away most of the time. The nanny didn't do much good. She was lazy and she ignored them.
Adonis started doing everything for Adele. She didn't have anyone else to go to. When she got into middle school she started dating. Her first boyfriend, hated her when she told him what she could do. Well not exactly told. She couldn't control her powers very well so she accidentally started him on fire when she couldn't control her emotions. The boy made fun of her every time they saw each other. After a few days him and his friends jumped her. Adonis beat the crap out of him the very next day.
She put everything out on the table right away in her next relationship. The boy was ok with it and took it slow. Then he got impatient and started hurting her. Hitting her, yelling at her, he even broke one of her arms once. Adele told Adonis she fell out of a tree. After six months he broke up with her. She didn't talk for a long time. And she stopped going to school because of it. She missed her whole 8th grade year, but she went to school over the internet instead. It hurt Adonis badly that he couldn't help.
She started looking for something better. She wanted, needed, to go to school but she couldn't go to a normal high school. Then she found Sententia and enrolled both her and her brother. Her first year there was a little rocky. Her control was still a little rocky and some of the students still picked on her, but not as much. She is now doing much better and even trying to look for friends.

rp sample;; "And here we go again, damned humans. Always making such a mess of things. I mean what the hell was that all about?" She asked baffled. Humans sure knew how to make bad entrances. Her fingers moving lightly as her claws moved to reach half their normal length. Three inches easy, it was a reflex to the door being broken down, she quickly put them away, careful not to let her demon have too much control. Otherwise there would probably a dead man on her hands, even with the collar she wore. It only restrained their powers and shocked them if they were naughty. They were being treated like disobedient puppies, and her demon was not happy about it. The girl was tall enough standing 5'9 easy.
"Is there a reason you are here? Because I honestly do not have the patience for someone to come in, complain about the 'disorder'" She said doing air quotes with her hands. "I apparently have, I don't see what they are speaking of, and then leaving." She said rolling her eyes.
"And why the hell did you do that anyways?" She said shaking her head. She realized she was repeating something she had already said but she didn't care much. "It doesn't seem quite necessary!" She added in a loudish tone.
