known limits;; Believe it or not, but sugar is one of Trstan's great weaknesses. He loves soda and often if he drinks it in large amounts it gives him a hyper-sugar rush. Sometimes when on a sugar rush Tristan often loses control of his abilities. He prides on his control but with enough sugar in his system, he begins moving at 4x the speed of a normal person, sometimes faster.
Besides his addiction and weakness with sugar, Tristan knows he is not always in control when it comes to his powers. He has gained a bit of control and understanding of his powers over the years in school, but ultimately it is not very difficult to get him to lose control. When he gets emotional, he forgets control and just swings. This has gotten him in trouble before since he has such a short fuse. If he's not careful with his blows, the speed and impact of a regular punch can crush someone's skull in. Thanks to first hand experience, he knows this well.
Tristan leans more toward control in terms of his powers but its only fairly recently that he has acquired this control. Therefore, he may have moments or bursts where he loses control of his powers whether it be for emotional reasons or otherwise, it still happens now and then.
power history;;Tristan's powers did not first manifest until puberty. When he was 13, he was in his 3rd year of junior league football, as a wide reciever. He was a great player, and was always there in time to catch the ball, often scoring many touch downs for his team. He was always fast.
One not so very important day, however, his team was playing the most stressful games of their young lives. The opposing team had scored 8 touchdowns and their defense often left Tristan crushed under three heavier kids. Football was Tristan's life, it was the only thing that mattered, and if he ever lost a game, his mother would take him off of the team. The pressure of trying to measure up and keep his place on the team sent Tristan's adrenaline and anxiety into over drive, and the next time he caught the ball, he side stepped the defensive linemen coming toward him and he was off.
The world around him became a blur as he headed for a goal post, to the point that all he could see were white streaks. No landscape, no bleachers, it was all gone. By the time panic set in and he skidded to a halt, Tristan found himself in the middle of someone's home 10 blocks away. To this day, Tristan is grateful that the goal had been facing the east, because had it been facing west he would have found himself in the Pacific. He had slammed through at least 25 houses. Had the homes not been in his way--had open landscape been there instead, he might have been telling a different story-- a story of how he ended up in Phoenix, Arizona. The houses, however, had acted as barriers and slowed him down until he he'd stopped himself. Needless to say, Tristan was taken out of football immediately, and everyone who had been affected were paid off by his parents to keep his powers a secret.
;;_mirrors reveal real APPEARANCE
celeb claim;; Richie Stringini
height;; 5'7''
weight;; 163 lbs
eye color;; blue/green
hair color;; blond
assets;; all around combination of is hair, smile, and eyes. His facial features when set just the right way make any girl swoon
flaw;; he's more lean/skinny than toned nowadays since he focuses more on his music than sports. he's also got a scar near the right side of his scalp on his forehead, which he keeps covered up with his hair.
distinguishing mark;; He has one tribal tattoo running up his right arm, from shoulder to wrist.
Though Tristan is short, he feels like his height is to his advantage, especially as a speedster. Small and quick, he's hard to catch. He has lost a lot of weight and muscle since his football days, so he's simply lean and slender now. His fingertips are slightly rough from playing guitar, and often from burning through guitar strings when he first gained his powers because he could not keep them in check.
His eyes are a blue/green color, which look more blue in certain lights, and more green in others. He keeps his blond hair cut in his own style, cut diagonally across his face to cover his right eye ( a little bit like the first picture up top). Nothing is wrong with his eye physically, he just likes his hair that way and it helps hid the scar at the top of his forehead. His hair is somewhat long in the back, raching down to his neck, and sometimes he will alternate with leaving his hair down or spiking it up and back.
His outfits depend on his mood and where he's going. If he's going to work or a party he will wear a graphic T with jeans, and his leather jacket. He is not always cold so his leather jacket only comes into play when he is running long distances , practicing with his powers, or riding his motorcycle. On a normal day, he's also sometimes found in a dress shirt (not tucked in) with jeans and a tie loosely hung around his neck.
He's got a tattoo running down his right arm of a tribal design, one of his two favorite types of tattoo art that he designed himself and got done when he was 15.FUNNY, TALENTED, LOYAL

eccentricities;; Sometimes when he gets excited, Tristan begins to speak very rapidly. This trait began long before his powers kicked in, and when his powers finally did kick in they amplified the problem, often making him hard to understand.
A second character flaw he has, is his weakness toward women. Though he seems to attract girls left and right, he becomes nervous around girls he has a serious crush on and fumbles with his words.
Kindness is one of Tristan's biggest personality traits. He's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, and despite his reputation he's not obsessed with himself- far from it in fact. He doesn't think good looks should give anyone any reason to be a jerk.
His sense of humor is widely known, for he often used to play pranks on his friends. He is also quick-witted when the insults go flying, often drawing a comeback that gets a laugh out of him at least. He also likes making people laugh now and then, especially if it means cheering someone up or putting a smile on someone's face.
When he's thinking up a song or reading, he is often quiet and introspective as he concentrates. When he gets really into a book, the time will simply fly by, same as writing a song. It's usually the only time he's quiet for an extensive period of time. His talent is unquestionable since he only took up the arts a couple of years ago after his powers ended his athletic career. He takes his music very seriously as it is his main passion in life.
Tristan is also a great friend to have. He is loyal to his friends and stands up for anyone he cares about. He dislikes fighting but is not afraid to do so if that's what things come to. In a relationship, he'd also be loyal to his girl, but he hasn't had the chance to prove that yet since he only has eyes for one girl.
Tristan is also sweet and caring, often quite the gentleman but his pride is the barrier. He would never admit those personality traits to anyone, nor the fact that he's a romantic at heart. He has the utmost respect for women and believes that they should be wined and dined. Only the best treatment, dates, restaurants etc would meet his approval for his girl.
His short temper has gotten him in trouble on numerous occasions but these days Tristan tries to keep it in check. Though he hasn't dated his past girlfriends seriously, he knows that he is a jealous guy and can be possessive at times.

father's name;; Josef Alexander (deceased)
mother's name;; Alison Stevens
siblings name;; nope, he's an only child
significant other;; no, but he has a crush on Misha
children's name;; none

Josef Alexander was a wealthy, world class businessman. His parents were not firm believers in arranged marriage, however once they found someone they believed was the "right girl" for him they continuously tried to keep the two together. Josef did not love Alison when he married Alison, it was more of a marriage of convenience. They both came from wealthy homes and Josef spent so much time learning and taking over the family business that he felt he had no time for "love" anyway. To his parents pleasure, Josef took over the family business and married Alison, a girl they'd been trying to match him with for years.
Josef still never found time for "love" even after marriage, so when Tristan was born 2 years after his marriage, it was simply because Josef desired an heir, a son who would continue the family legacy. His son only received the best of everything but was often cared for by nannies since his parents were never around. While dad was at the office, Alison was getting the attention and affection she'd never gotten from Josef from other men.
Tristan often found himself bored, lonely and unloved as the only child of two busy parents so he often spent his childhood raising hell and getting into whatever mischief he could. Once in private school, he was the big man on campus, often bullying other kids just for the hell of it, with an undertone of trying to get attention from his parents. At age 9, Tristan had been sent home from school by the principal, suspended for fighting with the threat of being expelled with his next strike. He found his mother at home, drinking wine straight up, glass after glass as she introduced him to his new father, Lieutenant General Mark Geoffrey.
His father had died in a plane crash that very morning and left the items in his will equally among his wife and son. Tristan was tormented by his father's death sure, but he was even more upset at the fact that it hadn't taken his mother much time to move on or grieve. Alison was sure the crash would set her son straight as his father's empire fell into his hands, but she was wrong. Not even Lieutenant General Stepdad could keep the boy in line after his father's death, though he did try. Tristan was pressured from all sides to take up his father's business and keep it in the family; his grandparents tried to force him to study and pay attention in a new school as his grandfather temporarily took control of the company once again until Tristan would come of age.
When he misbehaved, his alcoholic stepfather would often step in and try to beat some sense into Tristan but it only resulted in Tristan fighting back. Tristan hated the man so, especially when he would turn and beat on his mother. Mark tried to run a tight ship in the Alexander manor, and often began by making Tristan keep his hair short in crew cuts all the time. Tristan's hair remained in the fashion well until puberty hit, and the accident happened.
Try as they might, no one could get Tristan under control until he reached age 10. He expressed a desire to join a team sport, and though his mother didn't like the idea, his stepdad insisted it could probably help him build character and so he was taken by football. He unleashed his energy on the field and it became the one place where he could forget all his problems. He seemed to straighten up a bit once he began playing football since he no longer had the time nor energy to continue bullying other kids, but the day his powers manifested actually happened to be the day that set him straight.
He was 13 years old, and upon returning home from the disastrous game where his power had been revealed, he was faced with a fearful stepfather who turned his fear into hatred. Repeatedly he called Tristan a freak that night and began trying to think up ways to get rid of him. Boarding school, boot camp, the works. He didn't want a mutant living under his roof, a roof that wasn't rightfully his anyway. He continued to insult Tristan to his face as he beat him, swearing that perhaps boot camp could rid him of this disgusting ability of his. Then Mark turned his attention to his mother, and began to beat her to try and "beat the mutant gene" she was carrying out of her. He didn't want to have children who could potentially become mutant freaks like her son. Well at this point, Tristan had had enough.
Tristan rose and fought back, for the first time in his life his temper and rage reaching heights he had never before known. Though he never felt that his mother had loved him, he for some inexplicable reason still loved her and he would no longer stand for her to be treated this way by a man he hated. Unfortunately his powers were unstable, wild and out of control since their first sign of showing up. At first he was slow and predictable with his movements, resulting in having a beer bottle shattered across his forehead, leaving the scar he still retains to this day, but after a while Tristan was too fast for Mark to catch.
This day would be remembered as the worst, and scariest day of Tristan's life, for once his stepfather began moving too slowly in his eyes, Tristan's small fists made punches and had impacts so great that the man was left with shattered ribs and bruises until he sent a blow to the face so hard that it crushed Mark's face in. Horrified by what he done, Tristan immediately began to scream and back away, blood staining his hands. He wasn't so much upset by the death of his stepfather, but moreso nauseated and frightened by his own powert, and by the fact that such power had killed a man. It was unfortunate, but the death of his stepfather was what finally set Tristan straight. He stopped giving into his compulsive anger, quit picking fights....but his mother didn't care.
As soon as she heard of Sententia, Tristan was off her hands and out of her life. She shipped him off, for fear that she would be next, or maybe even others would become victim to his powers as well as his old temper. He was a much nicer guy but it didn't matter.
Tristan had long since renounced his claim on his father's business empire, for he'd only had an interest in sports before the accident, but his grandfather needed no further incentive not to hand down the business to Tristan. He no longer wanted his grandson in control of their company, which suited Tristan just fine because he never wanted a part of it anyway.
For a couple of years, he gave up sports and focused all his energy on music. It was difficult learning to play guitar when he moved at speeds so quick that the guitar couldn't keep up and the strings often burned down to nothing or snapped, or the force of his blows would destroy his drum kits but he kept trying for music kept him calm and happy no matter what was going on with his powers.
Soon, ordinary things became easier for Tristan once again and his love for music had grown so much that it was all he wanted to do for the rest of his life. To this day he wants to be a musician, and maybe start a rock band. He has enough control that he can finally do ordinary things again but e still has relapses now and then especially when emotionally triggered. Things finally calmed down for him when he came to Sententia and he became a different person, one that appreciated and loved each day of his life and loved his powers.
As far as his manor and his earnings are concerned he still has the money left to him by his father in a bank account, though he has no desire for it. He enjoys earning his own money and getting by on his own. His mother remarried not too long after she sent him away, and somewhere deep down she still loves him. Though she makes no effort to contact him, he still gets small anonymous amounts of money now and then in the sum of hundred dollar bills. Tristan doesn't really know what to do with the money since he wants no association with his past life, but sometimes he keeps it in the hopes that maybe one day it will help him get his band off the ground, a band he has yet to start.
Here at Sententia, Tristan has finally known love, friendship and normalcy, as normal as a school with super powered kids can be. He's also seen a girl who has simply mesmerized him though he has yet to meet her and it always seems to him like she's just out of his reach.

Shane was never completely at ease with the situation, nor with the man who called himself Lyons. Though it had been 5 years since his escape from life in America in a grisly situation, the memories would stay with him forever. He had promised his mother he would be alive long enough to affect positive change in the world and meant to make good on his promise; so that meant never dropping his guard, no matter what. He didn't really think America had jurisdiction in other countries but one could never be sure; he could be meeting with a man who was in fact a Chimera, sent to retrieve the one that got away. Almost like having his finger on the trigger, Shane's skin itched, ready to create a wormhole at less than a moment's notice.
Shane appeared calm and relaxed in his demeanor, and very comfortable in his suit as though it were like a second skin to him, though he very rarely dressed up in such a manner. The corners of his mouth quirked upward in a slight smile, returning Gabe's smile as they sat.
He lifted his head as the waitress appeared with a bottle of wine, and yet rather than dwell on how attractive she was, his eyes flickered back and forth between her and Gabe as he watched the exchange between the two, watching for any sign where Lyons might give himself away.
Shane took a deep breath, silently exhaling as he smiled as Lyons told the woman the wine was delicious and finally reached for his glass. If Lyons had drank it, then his food would probably not be tampered with. At least the drink was not. He took a couple of sips then set the glass back down on the table as the waitress disappeared.
He arched an eyebrow as Gabriel spoke, still not entirely at ease yet listening carefully to what he said. His eyebrows rose once at Gabriel's words before his face smoothed of all emotion completely. Outwardly he was devoid of emotion but inwardly at least five emotions had quickly surfaced through him and he couldn't decide which to follow. First there was fear and suspicion, as he was told there was nothing out of place in his background. Of course if the man really were headmaster of a school somewhere, he would have to do a background check on Shane yet it was his choice of words that had him on edge: his "history" had to have meant his past, not his job performance or criminal record... Then there was the insult of questioning his ability to teach mutants who could potentially be stronger then him as a result of their powers--that question derived anger, an affront to his pride as well as his power. Finally there was Gabriel's condescending tone, referring to "no shame in his limits" as though he knew who Shane was, could read how he felt about this position and... Outside of his mind, Shane was a sea of calm. He blinked and reached for his glass of wine, drinking half the glass as he sifted through Gabriel's words in his mind before he stopped, holding the glass in one hand as he leaned back against his seat.
For those few brief moments his guard had fallen as his emotion was provoked, but now he was fine. He kept his answer and emotion guarded as he responded. "I apologize for being so forward...but in doing so I simply would like to verify your words. As you know, the world is not a safe place for mutants these days, so you will understand when I say I would like to know more about where it is that I shall be working, if all goes well in this interview. I'm sure you'll understand why I need to get this out of the way before we get anywhere.
"First off, I understand that Gabriel Lyons is a businessman over in America. Wealthy, influential, and perhaps even a bit infamous. Do you mean to tell me that this same man has a school for mutants hidden somewhere in the country that no one has ever heard of? Where could anyone hide a school of that magnitude?
"And if I may be frank with you, I have come across many things in my studies and I am no stranger to the idea that anyone born with a mutant gene has limitless potential as to what their power may manifest as. Therefore of course I am prepared to meet the challenge of dealing with difficult, perhaps stronger mutants than I, but I am also aware of the fact that because of the infinite possibilities, it is certainly probable that you are not who you appear to be. I do not mean to offend you sir, but a shape shifting mutant could very well take on the appearance of such a famous man. So before I reveal myself to you, how am I to know that you are indeed Gabriel Lyons?"
"If you are indeed Gabriel Lyons, and you have been through my history, you will understand why my trust is not easy to come by..." he paused for a few moments then continued, "I have lost my world before and everyone important in it, and I am not so readily willing to relinquish my new world simply because I had not learned my lesson. Not everything is as it appears to be, especially where America is concerned."
With that, Shane was done. He would say no more until Gabriel somehow proved he was who he said to be or...proved otherwise and showed that he wasn't who Gabriel Lyons at all. In case of the latter, Shane kept his half-empty glass of wine in one hand, his shoulders tense, leg muscles tense and ready for movement. His briefcase was unimportant, there was nothing in it that could lead anyone to find out his future whereabouts. There were simply papers which needed to be graded, a few pens and lesson plans. Shane was on edge, but anything worth doing was always worth the risk, he told himself.
