Illuminate the No's on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark

known limits;; Theresa has a very mild case of CIPA. (congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis) It’s not really that she can’t feel the pain, it’s that her body can’t respond to it. Most people’s brains release certain chemicals to block the pain, or offer a distraction. Theresa’s brain doesn’t seem to comprehend pain, it just knows “ouch.” She also can't pass out because of pain for the same reason. For her, everything is more painful because of this.
If Theresa gets too much adreniline flowing through her system she'll pass out. Whether its from fear or excitment. Before a preformance she usually has to work off some of it.
power history;;Theresa discovered her ability when she was three. She was sitting on the coast of the Mediterranean staring off into the sky, wishing she could be a bird. And suddenly she was flying. She didn’t dare go too high, which was a good thing because she couldn’t hold the form long and fell. After that she started practicing her power as much as she could. She didn’t tell her parents at first, though she was pretty sure they knew. They were smart, after all. At first she only focused on learning birds, but then she tried cats, dogs, and eventually, fish. She really liked being able to swim without having to worry about air. She was still careful though.
Soon after the bird incident she discovered her main power, changing her appearance. She decided that if she could change into a bird and fly through the air, she should be able to change her hair color. So she sat in front of her mirror for three hours. After the first two she decided to try something simpler, her eyes. She managed to change one, and then change it back. She kept working on this as well until she could change her entire appearance for a few brief moments. She’s still working on getting it to stay longer.
;;_mirrors reveal real APPEARANCE
celeb claim;; Alyssa Milano
height;; 5’ 2”
weight;; 115 pounds
eye color;; Dark brown
hair color;; Dark brown with blonde highlights.
assets;; Theresa’s best feature would probably be her hair. She doesn’t straighten it, curl it, or anything like that with heat, so it’s healthier than most teenage hair. She’s very indecisive about the length and color. Sometimes she lets it grow long, other times she cuts it off short. Sometimes she leaves it the natural blond and brown, other times she colors it one or the other.
flaw;; Her height. Theresa hates how short she is. She usually wears a lot of heels to hide this. Even her sneakers have a light lift to them. She always wins hide and seek though…
distinguishing mark;; Theresa has a birthmark on the back of her right shoulder in the shape of a dragon or a phoenix rising into flight. People always think it’s a tattoo but it’s not. She also has three piercings on her right ear, and two on her left ear. Her nose is pierced but she wears a clear acrylic retainer in it more often than a normal nose ring.Theresa has a very distinct look to her. She’s not one of those faces that just blend into the crowd. In a way it has both helped and hindered her.
Standing at a mere five feet, two inches, Theresa can’t get around the fact that she’s short. She still tries to deny it by way of heels. Most of her insignificant height is made up of her legs. Theresa has a slender- though muscular- frame, weighing in at only 110-115 pounds. Though she is strong, she relies more on her grace, speed, and flexibility in a fight. She has a dancer’s body.
Theresa’s hair is dark brown with blond highlights. Her hair is not dirty blond; there is a distinction between the two colors. While her hair is naturally brown and blond, she sometimes colors it to be just brown or just blond. She usually leaves it loose. It’s naturally curly, though she’s never had a problem straightening it. Not that she usually bothers. A lot of times the color will change slightly when she runs her hand through it.
Framed by thick, dark brown lashes are equally dark brown eyes. They always seem to contain some emotion, even if it’s not what she’s feeling at the time. She’s become a rather good actress, though there are times when she slips up and what you see really is what you get. Between her eyes is a nose that used to be a little too wide for her face. She never bothers to change it unless she’s actually impersonating someone. Freckles spread across her nose and cheeks, though they don’t usually show up due to her tan. Even during the winter her skin has a bronzed look. Her skin absorbs sunlight the way plants absorb sun, or a sponge absorbs water. Below her nose are average sized, pale lips. The few times that her tan fades her skin and lips blend together. When that happens she wears a darker lipstick than her usual light pink.
Never one to dress up, Theresa owns at least two pairs of jeans in every shade of blue and black, plus a few white pairs. Most of them are tighter one the legs, she likes showing them off. Miniskirts are popular for her to. Normally a tee shirt or a sweatshirt tops of the outfit with a few select pieces of jewelry. And earrings, which she considers a totally separate- and essential- art form. She has a variety of necklaces, rings and bracelets to match any outfit she could make with her current wardrobe. Of course, that doesn’t stop her from buying more when she has the chance.SEXY, SPONTANEOUS, DANCER

eccentricities;; When she changes her appearance, she likes making it dramatic. For example: if she changed her eye color she would move her hand in front of them as they changed. Even if no one could see her.
She only chews with the right side of her mouth unless it’s an actual meal. She doesn’t realize she does it.
She can't hear music and not tap her foot.
She runs her hand through her hair. A lot.
She never goes anywhere without both her digital and video cameras.
She falls down that stairs at least twice a week.
She bounces her left knee when she’s anxious.
She has really odd thought processes that carry on and on and have no relation to her current situation
Even though she was only a teenager when she moved from France and has spent much more time in America than Europe, she has maintained most of the stereotypical European attitude. She’s much more patient then most Americans, able to wait days, weeks, or even years for something she’s excited about. This isn’t only because of the way she was raised, but also a part of her personality. ((And she has great posture, which us Americans do not…))
One thing she has adopted from the American lifestyle is casual. She might have been raised around uptight workaholics, but she herself is very relaxed when she so chooses. Even with this facet of her personality, Theresa seems like a very serious person to anyone who doesn’t know her. She does wear a very serious looking expression when she’s thinking, and that is a lot, though she’s usually thinking about how much she likes Jelly Beans. Or about some memory of a rollercoaster she threw up on. Even when she is joking around, something has to be very funny for her to outright laugh. Giggling is common, and she smiles a lot, but laughter is only reserved for jokes and people who really deserve it.
Stubborn, strong willed, and determined. They all roughly mean the same thing, and they’re all a part of Theresa. When she wants something done, she does it. When she wants it done a certain way, it had better be done that way. She clashes with a lot of other people because of her tenacity. Theresa also clashes with certain people because she can be a bit cold hearted. She’s not always very sensitive to how other people feel or what they are going through. She’s a pretty good actress where emotions are concerned, and may seem more sensitive than she is. If she bothers. The downside to that is she can lie to someone without thinking twice about, and has used that talent to get out of many an awkward- or dangerous- situation.
Theresa is pretty clever, not just book smart. Her sense of intuition is very strong, something she’s gotten from her mother. She retains information easily. She has a photographic memory of course, but she can also recall anything she has heard, and has something like photographic reflexes except that it only works if she’s the one whose done the move, she has to learn it on her own. That’s part of the reason she got into dancing, she wanted something that wouldn’t be affected by her power. She doesn’t think through the details as well as she should, even with all this extra help. She’s a live-in-the-moment kind of person, not a what-will-happen-tomorrow.
She does have a tendency to be a now it all. It was really bad when she was a kid, and she’s managed to get it under control more now that she’s older, but it still pops up at very inconvenient times. She’s ruined both friendships, and relationships with this trait. It doesn’t help that she can be a bit proud, and a bit jealous, either.
Patience is a virtue she may have, but it hasn’t helped her temper one bit. She can lash out quickly, though often times she regrets it later. Unless the person really deserved it. Then she can hold a grudge for years on end. She still hates this one girl from early on in her academic career, as in Kindergarten, for stealing one of her dolls. It was her favorite after all.
When faced with the opportunity, Theresa will use any form of sarcasm available. On occasion she might say something a bit inappropriate, but she doesn’t let that bother her.

Theresa was born to Patricia Anne and Jackson Daniel Grey on October 13th, 2003. She was the second child of the couple, having an older sister, Cassandra. The first 15 years of her life were spent in Paris, France. Before she even started school she was a smart kid. Not one of those crazy geniuses who did their parent’s taxes at the age of five, but still pretty smart. She was also one of the most active kids her parents had ever seen. Sports were practically her life. She started studying three different forms of martial arts when she was three. Dancing followed naturally, and she loved it, learning every type she could. Soccer came soon after that. A few months later she became addicted to laser tag.
She was involved in everything she could get into, from mainstream sports to activities that seemed almost obsolete. Even with how smart she was, she started failing classes because she was more focused on sports. Of course, they pulled her out of sports and she learned her lesson. She got her sister to do her homework for her and started playing sports again.
As Theresa grew older she became more and more curious about the world and the space surrounding it. She didn’t want to become some sort of astronaut or something like that, but she was curious. And once Theresa gets curious it’s hard to stop her. She began throwing herself back into her studies, flipping her personality 180. Instead of being the active, outgoing, sporty girl she was, she became a smart, slightly nerdy, braniac. Theresa still believe that this is what made her so adaptable to different lifestyles.
Eventually she found a happy medium between her academics and athletics. This was two years before she moved.
The move from Paris to St. Louis was a difficult one for her. Partly because she had taken Latin and Spanish in school, not English. And partly because all of her favorite sports seemed to have different rules in America. This was when she really began to throw herself into mastering her powers. When she found Sententia Academy she jumped at the opportunity. This is only her first year here.

Theresa shuffled the cards again. She tapped them on the table twice to straighten them out before dealing 7 cards to the other three people seated at the table and herself. “So, how do you really think the world will end?” She asked, continuing on their previous conversation. “I mean, fiery explosion? Ice age? Asteroid?” She considered her cards carefully, a little disappointed in her hand.
“I vote all at once, just one big bang that we’re not even warned about. It’s not as scary that way.” Jacob said from where he sat beside her, also not looking away from his cards.
“If the world is going to end though, I would want some notice so I could do something insane and crazy.” Kathleen pulled two cards out of her hand, laying them on the table in front of her. “Something I wouldn’t dare do otherwise.” She picked up her glass, taking a drink and replacing it on its coaster.
“Either way, there will probably only be like, 4 people left, and only one of them will be female.” Aisleign said, a laugh entering her voice as she spoke. She, too, took two cards from her hand.
“And,” Jacob added, nodding towards Theresa, “Knowing your luck, you will be that one girl.”
“Just so long as they don’t expect me to do it with anyone to bring back the human race. There’s cloning, haven’t they perfected that yet?” She smirked, running a hand through her hair before asking, “Hey, anyone got any threes?”
“Go fish,” they all chanted at once, a swear passing quietly through Theresa’s lips
character adoption;; I’d prefer no. I don’t want anyone taking my character.
;;_chapter one: SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST
here are some questions we will be asking for this first chapter of the plot.
willing to get your character murdered;; I'd prefer not to be killed. Injured, even injured seriously- even in a lot of pain- I'm fine with, but I like my character too much for death. Note: With the whole CIPA thing, I'm not actually sure if CIPA would cause that, it's just the only thing I could think of.
